COMFORTS OF HOME

Situated in the Heart of Owen Sound the homes are tastefully decorated in a serene, warm and homely style. All rooms feature four piece private baths and call bell.

DINING WITH STYLE

All meals are tastefully prepared by our very own staff and served in our bright and cosy dining room located on the Main Level. Residents are always welcome to invite family and friends for meals or teatime. In keeping with tradition, afternoon tea is served, along with muffins and baked cookies in our Activity Lounge.

ACTIVITIES & PROGRAMS

Owen Sound Retirement has a full time Activity Coordinator. She provides our residents stimulating activities and outings. Each month our resident’s receive our monthly calendar informing them of the scheduled activities, such as: Bingo, Card Games, Word & Board Games, Arts & Crafts, Exercise Classes, Live Entertainment, Social Events, Happy Hour, Current Events and more.  Using our Passenger Van, we encourage all Residents to participate in outings. The van takes our residents to weekly shopping trips, parks, etc., just to mention a few. Families and friends are always welcome to join us in the activities and outings.

RESIDENT COUNCIL

Residents at Owen Sound Retirement have a say on all aspects of how they wish to live. Monthly council meetings offer them the opportunity to voice their opinions and make suggestions on services, events, etc.

COMMITMENT TO CARING

Owen Sound Retirement encourages residents to pursue an independent lifestyle supported by the safety of around the clock professional health care and personal service. We also provide nursing services that includes medication administration, Phlebotomy, wound care, Diabetic care, Catheter care, Colostomy care, Ambulation, Memory care. We also believe in continuous education for staff including training in GPA (Gentle Persuasive Approach). This balance of service and sensitivity makes us a nice place to call home.
